Sports apparel company TravisMathew announced that former world #1 tennis player Andy Roddick has joined the company as an investor and brand ambassador.
Despite countless achievements on court, almost more impressive is Andy’s work off of the tennis court through the Andy Roddick Foundation. He was recognized in 2005 for his community involvement with the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian award, and again in 2007 with the Arthur Ashe Leadership award. He followed this up in 2009 when he was awarded the Heineken Star award for achievements in the fields of athletics and philanthropy. The Andy Roddick Foundation seeks to raise money to fund programs that improve the daily lives of children including everything from educational assistance, tennis camps and after-school activities.
From day one, Huntington Beach, California-based TravisMathew has strived to create products that blend both style and performance, all the while, sharing their successes through charitable efforts with organizations such as Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, Out of Sight Faith and City of Hope.
Prior to his retirement, Roddick had a lucrative apparel contract with Lacoste.
