After missing the French Open through injury Andy Murray makes his return to the tour at this week’s Queen’s Club tournament where the Scot is a 15/8 favorite. Bookie Paddy Power has him at 9/1 to make it a double to win both Queen’s and his first Wimbledon title.

Murray starts his quest for a successful return to the circuit today and is joined at Queen’s by a strong set of seeds including Martin Del Potro, Tomas Berdych, last year’s winner Marin Cilic, and beaten French Open semi-finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The Frenchman is second favorite at 5/1 to win Queen’s followed by Berdych, also at 5/1.

Five other British players will be in action at the ATP event with four wild card entrants plus qualifier Jamie Baker. Ward, Evans, Corrie, and French Open boys’ double winner Kyle Edmund have been given entry into the tournament but it’s Baker who has the best odds of success at 50/1.

The WTA has their own AEGON sponsored warm-up to Wimbledon in Edgbaston with Sabine Lisicki as the 6/1 favorite. Ever improving youngster Laura Robson is 12/1 to win what would be her first tour title and fellow Brit Heather Watson is at 20/1 for the tournament.

A Paddy Power spokesman said; “Though we’re pretty sure no-one could have stopped the Rafa Express in Paris Andy Murray would have been disappointed to miss out on a shot at the second major of the year. Queen’s Club represents safe ground for his return and a win here would tee him up nicely before SW19 madness in two weeks’ time.”
