Babolat has continued as the official supplier of the French Open and provides racquet and stringing services, as well as supplying the tournament ball. The company’s racquet customization and stringing service area is open to the public, which is very unusual at a major tournament. Also new this year – Babolat is hosting stringing demos where people can ask questions about the process and what it’s like to string for the champions.

In 2012, Babolat strung 3,702: racquets at Roland Garros, and 60 of those were Babolat Aeropro Drives, specifically for strung seven time champion Rafael Nadal, The company employed 19 stringersbab during the tournament.
