Wow what a day on the real red clay of Roland Garros (orange in my color scheme though)
Due to the weather conditions and all the qualifying matches still being played we are forced to use other facilities. This also adds to the challenge of attending as much as possible of the practise session scheduled! Most of the players therefor try to book 1 session at Roland Garros and 1 off site.
Today I spend most of my day at a place called “Stade Jean Bouin” a 7 minn walk from Roland Garros. It is also in the shadow of the brand new stadium of PSG! Today the Thiemo started out hitting with Grigor Dimitrov
Two very talented players and they were able to hit for a full hour most other session during the day were interrupted by rain!
When getting to the site you walk down the stairs from transportation and are welcomed by a very French scene
Getting my credential is always fun and through the years they are getting bigger and more fancy.
When I was getting ready for the 6 pm practise rain was poring down and the court service is getting their workout and were ready to cover the court!
After waiting for an hour we ended up getting lucky to get back on court and have a great session! Tomorrow another full day planned and much more rain coming our way! Fingers crossed we will be able to get in some court time!
