Getting Back In The Groove | 
3rd day!
Still getting in to the groove of things! I have been coming here since 1993 and I remember my first time very clearly! I had just come from the Hopman Cup with Kimiko Date of Japan, who I was coaching than!
The Hopman Cup (which is taking place at the moment) is held indoors and we did not get much sun during those first 10 days in Australia!
On the first day we had a practice session (on our arrival in Sydney) for about an hour and it was overcast! I did not have the experience that I have now and did not put any sun lotion on! Later that day I was walking around with a big blister on my nose! Wish I had a picture of that! The sun in Australia is the strongest on the tour and it can be a big factor in these weeks here, it drains your energy and it is challenging to not get burned!
So today when we went for our first hit, I picked up the balls, water, and towels and put on the protective sun lotion that sits on the desk at the practice reservation area!
Sorana Cirstea and I had 2 sessions of hitting on court in preparation for her qualifying event! She has a new addition to her team, Floris Minnaert, who will be traveling with Sorona full time and takes care of the physical training! Floris is from Amsterdam in the Netherlands!
The draw will be made later today and will have to wait and see who and when she will play tomorrow!
Now heading back to The Westin hotel for my gym session!!

To be honest I never ever attended a full weekend of Davis Cup. So that is why I needed to take my parents as they also never experienced this phenomenon.
