Just finished watching the mighty Fed play Štěpánek from Basel. Another great job by Robbie Koenig in the booth! It was fun. Once again the Tennis Channel took me away. I was in Basel. Court colors looked funky. Outside the lines an orange color. Inside the lines Maeve. Weird. Makes a green court with pink lines look good.
Anyway. Score was fed 6-3,6-2. Roger closed it out with an ace. Interesting match time was one hour. Same in both prior matches. Wow. Great efficiency of play. Roger looks awesome. His beautiful Nike outfits were really elegant.
Then you have Štěpánek’s. His clothes are awful. This outfit was black and looked like he was in a ketchup fight…Back to Basel. Yes I ate chocolates while I watched. I wish I had those Lindts that Roger has a bagful in his commercial. All I had was leftovers from Halloween…
If I heard Rob Koenig right: Basel event your day ticket was good for night session as well. So you get the big BRAVO!!!! Tennis seats are too pricey. Ticket sales will improve ten fold if prices are dropped. Kids would go. Crowds would be at every session. It’s timing. Marketing. And pricing. Let’s review that. And accolades to any event that lowers ticket prices. I still say I never want to see arenas “draped ” to cover up lack of efforts in ticket sales. Fill with active military…
Sat semis in Basel. Roger plays Roddick. Can’t wait. Gotta go get some Lindt chocolate. And if you haven’t seen the commercial, go to our Video Roundup. It’s great.
