Editor’s Note: Lovey is stuck in the London traffic. So we decided to have Thomas Shubert to take over her Lob to bring all the tennis fans some more tennis information.

Los Angeles, CA – Like a typical Hollywood premier, the Farmers Classic is a see-and-be-seen event where tennis, entertainment, and business moguls gather together and enjoy professional tennis. Strauss stadium is big enough to support the vast Los Angeles tennis population but also gives patrons an up close and personal feel. Often, people are seen waving to their friends or acquaintances all over the stadium, sometimes having hand-signal conversations before realizing they can use their cell phones.
The Terrace provides valuable shade for the VIPs and caters to every detail. Another unique factor to the LA Tennis Center is how they funnel the spectators in and out – You are bound to run into somebody you know at the entrance gate, staircases, food court, courtyard, or grandstand. This makes the event fun, local, and very social. You never know who you’re going to meet or how your life can change at this tournament! Don’t forget, the players are in plain sight and walk carefree throughout the grounds, autograph hounds rejoice! Finally, bring some cover for your skin for the day session (the sun burns through the morning haze around noon), a warm jacket for the night session (it can get very cold), and most importantly a smile for both when you run into that old hitting partner of yours from a decade ago!
