Lovey - Hi everybody. Love “Middle Sunday.” Spent the morning with Max Mirnyi, stopped and had a quick lunch with Xavier Malisse, and met up and spent the day with Sven Groeneveld. Here are a few photos from today.

Sven - As a rule, before the Championships start each players gets a chance to play 1 time on the championship courts or if you have a show court match you can half an hour warmup! Like in the matches the players have to wear white and this year we were on court 6 which is right in front of the members area balcony of the center court!
This year has also been a challenge with the weather and between playing indoors and waiting for play you have to be prepared to make the most of it!
Another thing many fans will never see is the tunnel between Aorangi (practice court area) and the main building where the players arrive. There is a tunnel that lies underneath Murray Mount/the old Henman Hill court 18 and the media center. The players get a chance to beat the crowds and have time of tranquility
Wimbledon is taking place during the European football championships and before the German vs Italy match the coach of Serena Williams (Sascha) and Fognini made a bet. Whichever country would loose would have to wear a skirt a round the grounds.
Besides tennis players we do get some special guest around the players lounge the other Day Tim Henman got a chance to exchange some words with the golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
