STANFORD, Calif. (www.BankOfTheWestClassic.com) – Tickets for the 2012 Bank of the West Classic on sale now.

Secure your tickets today and see Serena Williams as she tries to defend her Bank of the West Classic singles title against many more of the best women’s players in the world, July 9-15 at the Taube Family Tennis Center on the campus of Stanford University.

In addition, guests at this year’s event will also have the opportunity to see tennis legends Pete Sampras, Jim Courier and Michael Chang as they participate in a series of exhibition matches, July 11-13.

Sampras will take on Chang the evening of Wednesday, July 11 (Session 6) and Courier the evening of Thursday, July 12 (Session 8). On Friday evening, July 13 (Session 10) Courier will take on Chang.

Individual session tickets to the tournament’s opening round start at $26.

Full-week packages start at just $580 and include tickets to all 13 sessions, a pass to the exclusive Plaza Club and an invitation to the Meet the Players Party. Those who purchase a pair of seats will also receive a weeklong VIP parking pass and a Bank of the West Classic Tournament program.

The Bank of the West Classic also has several weekend packages starting at $310.

The tournament is also offering a special three night package which includes tickets to all three exhibition matches starting at just $117.

The Bank of the West Classic, a premier WTA event, is now in its 42nd year and features a 28-player singles draw as well as a 16-team doubles draw. The event is owned and operated by IMG and serves as the opening women’s event of the Emirates Airline US Open Series.

The list of past champions of the event reads like a Who’s Who of women’s tennis including Lindsay Davenport, Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Andrea Jaeger, Monica Seles, Martina Hingis, Venus Williams and Kim Clijsters.
