McEnroe and Slater to Appear At Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic
John McEnroe and actor Christian Slater will both make their first appearance at the Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic, when the event is held Nov. 12 and 13 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center.
McEnroe and Slater are scheduled to play in matches on Sunday, Nov. 13.
Slater received rave reviews for his role in “Breaking In,” a half-hour workplace comedy about a team of security experts, which premiered earlier this year on FOX. The show returns to FOX in March 2012. Slater will next be seen starring in the Warner Bros. film “Bullet to the Head,” an action thriller about a New Orleans hit man, played by Sylvester Stallone. The film will be released on April 13, 2012.
Among the other celebrities scheduled to appear at this year’s event are actors Jeffrey Donovan, star of the hit television drama Burn Notice, Scott Foley, who is currently appearing in the popular television drama Grey’s Anatomy and previously starred in the CBS drama The Unit, host of NBC’s Today show Hoda Kotb and Grey’s Anatomy star Kevin McKidd, Others expected to participate include newsman Stone Phillips, actresses Maeve Quinlan and Jill Zarin, actors Jon Lovitz and Alan Thicke,
The annual Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Gala, set for Saturday, Nov. 12, will feature an evening of music, silent and live auctions and dinner and dancing at the renowned Boca Raton Resort and Club. This year’s featured entertainment is R & B legends, The Spinners.
