Former Open Champ Graf to Put on Kids Clinic in Harlem

Longines is offering US Open fans the chance to hit with former world No. 1 player Steffi Graf in Harlem next week.

The Swiss watchmaker Longines and 22-time Grand Slam champion Graf will host the Center Court for Kids tennis clinic on Thursday, Sept. 8 at Howard Bennett Park in Harlem during this year’s U.S. Open. The event is presented by Harlem Junior Tennis and Educational Program and USTA Eastern and will benefit Graf’s Children for Tomorrow charity.

Graf is also a Longines brand ambassador. The Harlem Junior Tennis and Educational program provides summer tennis and educational programs for nearly 500 children ages 7-18.

A special public hit around will immediately follow Longines Center Court for Kids clinic. A fastest serve competition will conclude the event where a Longines watch will be awarded to the winner.

The kids clinic is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the public hit with Graf set for 11;30 a.m. till noon.
