BJK National Tennis Center was spared. Yes, dumb Irene missed us. Its great. NYC is starting back the metro system. Buses are running. We are looking good for tomorrow. Doubt they will play the schedule as printed… Where do we see they will have the most trouble ?
For instance how do players that have 11 o clock matches arrive on site by 9 to get prepared. Who picks them up at 8 ? How do the tourney drivers get to the transport cars ? Many players don’t even have their credentials yet. Or haven’t hit a ball in days ….
We heard from Dear Max Mirnyi. He has been grinding out the us open road. His Summer was Washington,Montreal,Cincinnati,…best win of the year: the French Open. We wish him well. He is family to the site. So go out there and cheer on the Beast from Belarus.
We heard from Sven that the National Tennis Center really closed up. They took all the windscreens down. That’s a huge job. They put away Every table. Chair. Umbrella. Anything that could have become a missile ..windscreens et al are back in place. …
The airports all open tomorrow. We hope that means midnight tonite. We hope the Monday morning RUsH Hour isn’t the mess we expect…

Here we are in Chicago. What a great event. We've been to the WILSON factory daily. Love to see some of the great old frames we played with.
This was a tennis tournament.... Like no other. This was a U.S. Open like no other.. Let's start with new logo. It's click art like ours? But we aren't the USTA.
The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
What a start. First match in the new stadium and bye bye ladies number one seed and WTA World Number One. Simona Halep. Losing to Estonian Kaia Kanepi.
Wow. Where do we start. Forward. Backward. Sideways. I sound like a tennis player doing on court drills.
