Catching planes …missed connections … Lost luggage … New week, same stuff…. Welcome to the world of international professional tennis!

I’m stuck at the airport between Charleston and Houston so ill write some observations …

Charleston. The Family Circle cup presented by DOVE…. 10sballs.com is staying all week next year. We had the best time. The best setting for tennis. The nicest event. The food was awesome. Must have gained five and if I think about it ill gain five more…. the event is doing great attendance numbers. We love happy sponsors …tennis is a good mix with Dove products …

Winners today: Shahar Peer, Yanina Wickmayer, Sania Mirza, Peng Shuai, and in doubles Bethanie Mattek -Sands and Megan Shaunghessy won 10-0 in the non third set that’s a heartbreaker …Tiebreaker. That’s a Bagel Breaker!!!

In Marbella today both Svetlana Kuznetsova and Dinara Safina won openers. Well done with the Wildcard Dinara!

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
