There are some tennis things that need replenishing from month to month and with Tennis Trunk you won’t have to worry about running to the store to get them. By subscribing to the Tennis Trunk service, at the 1st of every month you will receive a box of carefully selected, high-quality tennis equipment approved by players, coaches and professionals, conveniently delivered straight to your door.

Each box includes 2 cans of premium tennis balls, and several items geared towards your tennis talents! The rest of the box will vary with other essentials such as overgrips, protein bars, wristbands, energy chews, towels, electrolytes… If players are using it then it’s going into a Tennis Trunk. They make sure you never get the same thing twice. Basically, Tennis Trunk is like getting a surprise in the mail every month!

TennisTrunk.com was started by Andres Vallejo, a tennis teaching pro at the Weston Hills Country Club. Who came up with the idea one day after playing tennis. Upon arriving to the courts and realizing that the balls he and his friend had were flat, both had to drive to a nearby sports shop to buy a can of balls. Once they got back to the courts, the courts were being used and they were not able to play.

“Frustrated at the inconvenience of having to drive to the store, I knew there had to be a better way for tennis players like me to get our gear,” said Vallejo, Founder. “That day I got an email notification from Dollar Shave Club notifying me that my razors were on their way. The light bulb went off in my head and I decided to create a subscription box for tennis players. It was a struggle at first because none of the tennis companies would get back to me, they didn’t see the vision how beneficial this could be for league players and as a gifting option. After using up all my resources I got in touch with a friend who had just opened up a tennis store and it was with his help that my idea was able to become a reality”.

Up until this point people have been shopping for tennis balls through local sporting goods stores, the pro shop at their local courts, or online. Tennis Trunk takes these old methods and automates them every month so the consumer does not have to worry about it again.

“Tennis balls was just the start,” said Vallejo, “I wanted players to have an experience every time they opened their box so I decided to make it a box of tennis balls, and other gear that changes every month, Tennis Trunk is like getting a surprise in the mail every month”.

Adds Vallejo, “My goal is to motivate people to play more tennis. Our subscribers tell us they get excited to play tennis every time they receive their box, it has made them play more tennis every month, which is ultimately what I set out to do.”

TennisTrunk.com costs $34.99 with with a month-to-month plan. Prices reduce if you sign up for more months. Users can also skip a renewal or cancel a subscription at any time. All shipments are sent from Miami.

Tennis Trunk’s mission is to encourage you to spend more time on the courts. The subscription not only keeps you stocked up, it also motivates you to get out and play. Moreover, there is a “Give as gift” option, so you can surprise a friend!
