Greetings. The team is all here except for Ricky Dimon who will be on site at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center grounds prior to the first ball being hit. The rest of us have been here all week already. Yup.

Parties. Business meetings and more. We are in complete sensory overload. Manhattan can do that too you. All by itself. Add the OPEN and …oy… We got a nice desk in the media center and so far all is good with our computer connections and TV screen. (yup in past years no desk or a desk without any “power” …)

Arthur Ashe kids day was a great success. The “Taste of Tennis” was over the top. We are always happy to be a small sponsor for such a great event. The chefs. The food. It’s The unofficial players party. Thanks Judy and Penny. Sounds like we will see you in Indian Wells with a Taste of Tennis there in 2017.

We had a great meeting with our webmaster Mori who is designing a better mobile version of our site as we speak.

We are thrilled for Bethanie and her GOLD medal. Good thing she is an adrenaline junkie cause that’s what she has been running on since winning her GOLD medal. ️Bravo Beth.

We are thrilled for all the new designs at the BJK tennis center. Not sure about that roof and shadows… And wonder why they already had to take a court out of commission….Really… Who poured a bad court at the U.S. Open ? Yikes .. Not like rain or heat factored in …

We call Monday “manic” only because it’s a totally amazing opening day. The order of play is fantastic. Great match ups. Tickets are still available for many session.

We love that the USTA had free Qualie rounds. Way to go. Qualies should be free everywhere ! Always. Let’s get some growth In this game. Let’s give the public in the Tri state area a little gift like free world class tennis.

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
