Thank you Dear Easter Bunny. Thank You Tennis Fairy’s. Thank you Tennis Gods. Thanks Bud. Thanks Judge Robert J. Kelleher, Thank You Gene SCOTT, Thanks Dear Gussy MORAN, Althea, Pancho & GLADYS. (our site was inspired by you all)

We can sit in the seat. We always made Bud smile – He knew a fellow tennis nerd when he met one…. We try to write the truth in all situations (most) as we see them. We can never take our two index fingers and tap out the brilliance of BUD. But we can do him proud.

Bud and I went back four decades. I can remember him coming into my library and departing with a box of tennis books that were duplicates for me and new to him. (10sBalls also Started the Library at the Tennis Channel with 150 gems) we saw the “crawl” at the t.v. screens bottom that spelled Tony Roche as ROACH? Hence we made them a library. We saw the need.

How did we get so lucky? Sometimes when tennis frustrates me. Ok. It’s daily. I look for a sign. This was it folks. I’m reinvigorated and ready to face another year of working hard on 10sBalls _com to keep our beautiful photos coming and to keep all the true tennis lovers informed and to help grow the sport we’ve loved for as long as we can remember.

Thanks Dear media at IMG (Sam Is The Man) & Thanks Dear Bud. Thanks MIAMI Open. And Thanks Sigrid if you are reading this. Thank you for always encouraging us.

And thanks to Julie Heldman who always inspires us. We work tirelessly thru global time zones in the spirit of her Dear Mother GLADYS Heldman. The lady who made the WTA the WTA!

What does this really mean? It means the sport of tennis needs us all. It needs to be in more mainstream media daily. Today Miami was blessed with tennis fan Sir Richard Branson in attendance.

Indian Wells had some big names but they were mostly guests of players. The tournament is a two hour drive to Los Angeles. The entertainment Capitol of the world. I think they could invite and attract more movie stars….

Roger Federer always invited his girls’ godparents Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. This year we invited Gavin to the event as our guest but he was tied up. He still loves his weekly hits with Vince Spadea. Wayne “THE GREAT ONE” Gretzky was there with his beautiful wife Janet Jones to watch any Canadian…. but mostly it was Milos and Genie.

Queen Latifah came out to watch SERENA. Freddy Couples and Greg Norman dropped in. Oh almost forgot Mike Tyson and Hilary Swank. And there were just a few more here and there. It’s should be packed with HOLLYWOOD. The sport is complicated. It’s costly. Hard to learn. Hard to keep score. And ticket prices are crazy cray cray.

Miami prices are far more in line (Affordable) than they are in Indian Wells which has the most expensive tickets on the whole tour. Higher than any Slam. But we will save that story for another day. It’s a long story. Starting with Larry Ellison raising his loyal patrons seats 100 percent in four years!

Bud and those pants. Trousers. Slacks. Outfits. We will never forget you BUD. We are honored to be at your workstation. Your cubby. Your desk. Let’s enjoy this great tourney. This great gift of inspiration.

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
