Greetings TENNIS Readers, fans, players, coaches, lines people, ball kids, young players, ticket – buyers, PATRONS, instructors, DOUBLES PLAYERS of all shapes and sizes and ages and abilities. 2015 was quite a year…..
Check the ATP/ WTA websites for all the amazeballs stats. Do you all know what ATP stands for? Association Tennis Players? WTA. Women’s Tennis Association…. Is their name recognition there? Just wondering. I hear that asked a lot. What’s ATP? What’s WTA? How do you keep score? What’s the numbers on the balls mean? How’s the drug testing in tennis? Ok all for 2016…….
2015 for Us had some real highs and highlights! There were also some lows…. Possibly USTA related…….
O.K. The tournament in Indian Wells Is Hard to explain. Think maybe Universal Studios Tours in 1975 versus today….. It’s really Grown beyond comprehension…. it’s really the only “Place To Be In March”! it’s Huge and beautiful and a true Gem Of an event in California. North America only has a Few events left. Cincy is another Gem. More Brilliant leadership.
Miami should go to Cuba. There I said it! Remember you read it here first! Gene Scott’s dream! He brought Tennis to Russia and helped the diplomatic Super Powers find common ground.
Gene always dreamed of bringing Tennis to Cuba. Imagine it’s talented athletes. We’ve seen some baseball players, Their boxers. Can’t wait to see tennis all over the whole country. And move Miami to Havana.
10sBalls_com gave out a few really special awards. First Pancho gave the Gussy Moran Humanitarian Award to Elena Baltacha Severino – it was given posthumously to her husband Nino Severino at the Nottingham tourney in June. Check out the @EBAT (website and social media)
Next Joe Hunt From Seattle was with his family at Annapolis the United States Naval Academy to name a court after Joseph Raphael Hunt. They even named the Navy’s tennis event after Joe as well as a court scoreboard as well as a perpetual Silver trophy in the glass award case.
10sBalls is very proud to have had a bit to to with it all… Helped connect the dots. …
We thought that was the highlight, but nope. The end of the year after we promised the engraver and silver replater that we wouldn’t bother them again this year……. But then there was still one more award we had to give.
That was to Judy Murray “Coach of the Year” Award. Besides being the Mom of Jamie and Andy Murray she is the Fed Cup coach and the Mother of British tennis. She supports anything and everything tennis. Her schedule is tireless and endless. She is tennis royalty.
Befitting that 10sBalls was able to give her her award at the Royal Albert Hall. Wow! Wow! Oh, we Almost forgot.
Check out Judy’s programs and website her “MissHits”. It’s great. She gets these kids started with balloons, trains teachers hundreds at a time to get the kids moving, playing, and maybe interested in tennis.
Imagine if Judy had the luxury of raising these two sons of hers playing tennis living in a fair weathered place 24/7/365. She raised her sons in Scotland. A true hero.
We want to thank our whole team. We are spread out about on a few continents right now. But we also want to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR & PEACE ON EARTH!
