AEGON NAMED OFFICIAL PARTNER FOR CHAMPIONS TENNIS

Aegon will introduce the interactive ‘Aegon Crowd Call’ line calling system

Champions Tennis at The Royal Albert Hall, to take place 2-6 December, 2015, has named Aegon as the event’s partner for the second year in a row. Aegon will be the event’s Pension Partner. As part of its sponsorship, the life and pensions company will feature ‘Aegon Crowd Call’, a new and unique line-calling system. When a player challenges a call, fans and spectators will adjudicate by holding up cards which read ‘in’ or ‘out’.

“We are delighted to welcome Aegon as our Official Partner,” said Charlie Grave, Managing Director of Sponsorship at IMG’s Tennis Division. “Champions Tennis is a fun, entertaining and interactive experience, and we believe the introduction of ‘Aegon Crowd Call’ is going to be very well received by our spectators.”

Tara McGregor-Woodhams, Head of Brand and Sponsorship at Aegon said: “The atmosphere at Champions Tennis is always fantastic and the crowd plays a big part in the success of the event. This year we’re taking this one step further by giving the fans an active role in deciding the outcome of those shots which prove too close to call.”

The large video screens inside the Royal Albert Hall will also feature video content showcasing company’s services, products and activities. Aegon customers will have access to exclusive ticket and promotional opportunities.

Champions Tennis is now in its 19th year, and features some of the most well-known and popular tennis players of all-time, including John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Henri Leconte, Pat Cash and Tim Henman.

Champions Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall is the season-finale to the ATP Champions Tour and is played over five days, with two sessions each day – one in the afternoon, one in the evening, with a mixture of singles and doubles matches.

Champions Tennis has enjoyed record ticket sales for 2015 and tickets are available from £23.50 at www.royalalberthall.com/tennis or by calling the Royal Albert Hall box office on +44 (0) 20 7070 4404. Hospitality packages are available via www.championstennis.co.uk/hospitality/ or by calling +44 (0) 20 8233 5854.
