U.S. OPEN TENNIS 2015 IS ABOUT TO BEGIN & TEAM 10SBALLS_COM IS READY, STARTING WITH TASTE OF TENNIS |

We are all here now. New York, New York….. What a great city. Tonite is our favorite party. The Taste Of Tennis! Penny and Judy Lerner know how to throw great parties! We are so excited we are practically counting down the hours.

We spent yesterday at Billie Jean King’s national tennis center. Those qualifying rounds are tense and brutal. We saw so many great matches and practices. We had a great time.

Free qualies way to go USTA. Or is it our great president Katrina Adams. She is such a breath of fresh air. The best USTA president in decades! She loves the game. She is everywhere. Her schedule is jam packed every day. She loves and lives the sport and truly does right by it.

The draw comes out today. We are on our way.

We are thrilled that Althea Gibson has been getting so much attention. We loved Althea. She really was a beautiful lady that deserved to be treated like the golden goddess she was. What an athlete. Gussy Moran was a close friend with Althea. She watched her take batting practice with the Yankees and hit the ball as far as the guys. Gussy watched them hit golf balls. Same thing her balls flew as far as the guys.

The Nike event on Monday night was awesome! Althea would have loved that. She played on the streets of Harlem. If you haven’t read her book “I Always Wanted To Be Somebody” find a copy. It’s great. She tells her story herself.

We will write more tomorrow after the party and after the draw is made. It’s fun to follow instagram right now. The players are very active. Oh, and Global Chick is on her way…

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
