Cheers. The team here at 10sBalls_com is in the United Kingdom. We were picked up by the services provided by “HEAD CONCIERGE” FRASER RUSSELL’S STAFF. No, this wasn’t a paid plug! Fraser has seen to our needs for 20 years. He does a great job as the tournament concierge for the Queen’s Club and the 02 arena ATP finals. We are well into our second week here and loving every minute.
What a glorious GRASS SEASON…. We have been to QUEEN’S CLUB. The best club in the world. We had high tea today as well as a hit on the grass. I can barely walk and tomorrow I’ll feel it more. Move forward I kept telling my legs.
Fish and chips and some cold beers never tasted better. We’ve been to Nottingham. What a great event. Free parking. Reasonably priced tickets. Seats and stadiums that are great for viewing tennis matches. Best of all, the winners trophy has been named the ‘BALLY’ for Elena Batacha Severino.
10sBalls_com entrusted Pancho to go on the court to hand NINO Severino, the husband and coach of Elena Baltacha, the prestigious “GUSSY MORAN Humanitarian Award.” From Nottingham it was back to Queens and then off to Birmingham. We are now making our way back to London (traffic) and the best week of fun and pure joy of all the Wimby excitement and energy building up. Eight days from today. 8 days.
Glorious 8 days. Roehampton for the Qualies. Stoke Park for the Boodles. Hurlingham to see our buddies Xavier Malisse and Greg Rusedski play. Aorangi park to watch the work outs on Wimbledon’s practice courts…. the players party…. the players party…. Next year we need to add a social secretary to our team. Could be Lisa in Atlanta. … Or Deb from Marina del Rey. ? Or PB from Indian wells ? Or Gudrun from Rancho Mirage ? Did I forget any candidates ? We know Ricky is down for some grass next year. We know Mr. Dimon, he is so ready to hit those outer courts and qualies that he loves. That’s where you spot the new talent. Ricky Dimon talent scout.
KT from Solinco does not take enough field trips. We may need to go steal him away from his office. Am I dropping names. ? Some. But not really for us cause we are true insiders. We are a group of tennis nerds. We eat, sleep, breathe tennis. We hang with the players, coaches, and PHYSIOS.
Is TENNIS easy to write about? It’s very hard just to get a media pass. No. Love ? No ! (Always remember in tennis love means nothing..) But we can’t help it. We are proud tennis nerds and I’m the fearless leader!
We are so proud of our latest Neil Harmon story. It took real guts to write it. Bravo Marko.
We hear we missed one heck of a party last night. We all know Global Chick would still be there. It was in San Diego in California for Francisco “PANCHO” Segura. The greatest clay courter to have never won the French open. Why ? Because he couldn’t play in them. He would have won a dozen years straight! Talk about a King Of Clay… Tennis was “closed”. Pancho, Jimmy, Lornie all celebrated Pancho’s 94th birthday.
Pancho man we all love you. Bretterz missed it too. We were all there in spirit. We all send our best wishes.
Happy Father’s Day to all the tennis Dads. Ron you did hit harder. Great dad. Great tennis dad.
