The ITF has announced the final results for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group first round and Zone Group ties held on 6-8 March. A total of 33 ties have taken place this weekend.

World No. 5 Andy Murray clinched Great Britain’s second consecutive Davis Cup World Group Quarterfinal appearance on Sunday, beating world No. 20 John Isner, 7-6(4), 6-3, 7-6(4), at Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
And so it was thus, that as the rain clouds gathered once more (imagine four seasons in one day, with attitude), Andy Murray sealed the deal for the British team as they won the right to face the French in the quarter-finals a mere week after the last strawberries and Pimms have been chased down in Wimbledon.
