Andy Murray says he's ready to brush off his crushing end to last season and carry on as planned by playing three exhibition matches halfway around the world as the International Professional Tennis League goes begins the countdown to its fortnight-long season starting this weekend.
Roger Federer has just a few days to changes courses completely in his tennis, as he heads for a quick weekend visit to India. The new Davis Cup winner will play a handful of matches in the new International Professional Tennis League, a 10-day, four-city "league" designed to bring tennis to eager Asian audiences.

Switzerland is one match victory away from its first Davis Cup title after winning Saturday's doubles rubber against France in Lille. The visitors were led by the 2008 Olympic gold medal-winning duo of Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka, who blew past Julien Benneteau and Richard Gasquet 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 in just two hours and 12 minutes.

The ITF has announced the latest results for the 2014 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Final between France and Switzerland in Lille on 21-23 November. On Saturday, the International Tennis Hall of Fame and ITF also honoured Guy Forget and Henri Leconte with the 2014 Davis Cup Award of Excellence.

Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga were hardly more than innocent bystanders during the first day of Davis Cup final action in Lille, France. At least Federer had an excuse, coming off a long week at the World Tour Finals that ended when he had to pull out of the title match against Novak Djokovic due to a back injury. Tsonga, on the other hand, simply got outplayed by Stan Wawrinka.

Following the disappointment of 17,500 paying fans when the climax of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals was curtailed on Sunday by Roger Federer’s injured back, tournament organizers have announced there will be a 60% ticket refund.
Aussie teen Nick Kyrgios will establish a base in London, and is looking to break into the top eight next season. Having reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, Kyrgios is now looking at buying a house in the area to use between tournaments. Most Australian players have a second home, finding it impractical to return Down Under frequently during the season.
The Statoil Masters Tennis tournament has added stars of the Special Olympics and two of the best wheelchair players in the world to its evening schedules of matches at the Royal Albert Hall on the 3rd and 4th December respectively.
