STATOIL MASTERS TENNIS – RODDICK DRAWS RUSEDSKI; ORDER OF PLAY REVEALED

 

Andy Roddick will face old rival Greg Rusedski in the round-robin stages of the Statoil Masters Tennis after the draw and order of play for the IMG-owned and staged event at the Royal Albert Hall were revealed.

Tim Henman will open the tournament, which takes place 3-7 December, when he takes on Sweden’s Thomas Enqvist at 1.30pm on Wednesday 3rd December. Henman and Enqvist are in Group A with debutant Fernando Gonzalez of Chile, while Roddick and Rusedski are joined in Group B by two-time French Open champion Sergi Bruguera. Roddick and Rusedski will clash on Saturday night.

 

The order of play also revealed that John McEnroe will take on Pat Cash in an exhibition match in the evening session on Thursday, the ever-popular Mansour Bahrami will return for a doubles match each day and the Mylan WTT Smash Hits charity event, featuring McEnroe, Roddick, Henman, Sir Elton John, Billie Jean King, Kim Clijsters and Sabine Lisicki, will take place at 6pm on Sunday 7th December. Also appearing in doubles during the week will be the 2007 Wimbledon mixed doubles Champion Jamie Murray, and former British Davis Cup player Ross Hutchins.
