ASICS is setting loose a team of almost 100 ASICS “Ballpersons” from Friday, August 22nd – Monday, August 25th to shower New Yorkers with four days of tennis love before the big tournament begins. This will include a number of surprise and delights all over the city – whether it’s free tennis swag or an upgraded new tennis shoe, a free Metro ride to travel to the game in time, or even a healthy lunch (there is such a thing as a free lunch!), ASICS is thrilled to Serve NYC this year.

To top it off, ASICS is offering a fantastic grand prize for anyone that tweets @ASICSAmerica with their “Share the Love” experience and dedicated hashtag #ASICSServesNYC during the festivities. Here’s what’s going down:

Friday, August 22 – Game: ASICS Serves Up Lunch: 11:30am – 2pm at Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Area

Time to bring your best game face and show off your serve! ASICS Ballpersons will descend upon two of the most popular lunch spots in town, Rockefeller Center and Grand Central, to give away 1,000 gift certificates for free lunch. The catch? In exchange, patrons must show off their best “air serve” or invisible volleys as if they were playing at the tournament themselves.

Saturday, August 23 – Game: Courtside Surprise: 11am – 3pm at Central Park Tennis Courts

Tennis enthusiasts and players will be surprised both on and off the court. ASICS will continue the excitement courtside in Central Park, where ballpersons will gift ASICS tennis shirts, socks, visors and other tennis gear to those playing matches and waiting for their court time. ASICS encourages tennis players all over the city to hit the courts and practice their groundstrokes to get in the spirit – and get some swag while they’re at it!

Sunday, August 24 – Game: Shoe Trade In: 9am – 12pm at ASICS Meatpacking store

Want to step up your footgame? The first 200 patrons who stop by the ASICS Meatpacking store can exchange their old tennis-specific shoes, no matter the brand or style, for a free pair of new ASICS GEL-Solution Slam™ 2 sneakers. A light-weight shoe that allows the player to freely move across the court, the GEL-Solution Slam 2 is the ideal shoe for anyone who is ready to take their game to the next level.

Monday, August 25 – Game: Subway Slam: 11am – 2pm onboard the 7 train

Game point! For those on the way to Flushing for the tournament, be on the lookout for the ASICS ballpersons across the subway platform. ASICS will be onboard the 7 train to gift 1,000 Metrocards for free rides to and from the tennis center during tournament play.
