Novak Djokovic leads world class field at The Boodles 2014

World No.1 Novak Djokovic will lead a world class field at this year’s The Boodles tennis tournament at Stoke Park, which runs 17th – 21st June 2014.

This will mark the ninth year in a row that Djokovic has appeared at The Boodles. He will be joined at the 2014 tournament by a host of big names from the top of the men’s game, including: Marin Cilic, Milos Raonic, Ernests Gulbis, Fabio Fognini, Tommy Haas, Jerzy Janowicz, Kevin Anderson, Robin Haase and Jack Sock.

Last year Djokovic earned big laughs from the crowd at Stoke Park and created a social media sensation when he and Grigor Dimitrov performed a jokey strip tease on court and did impersonations of Dimitrov’s girlfriend Maria Sharapova during their match. Even Sharapova herself was amused and tweeted a link to You Tube video of Djokovic and Dimitrov with the line “Look at these two clowns”.

“Novak is a fantastic champion and he’s also one of the most entertaining players in tennis, so it’s great to have him back as part of a great line-up this year,” said The Boodles Tournament Director and Founder Patricio Apey. “All the players love the surroundings of Stoke Park and the atmosphere we create on court. We like to think it’s the ideal place for them to prepare for Wimbledon.”
