Roger Federer and Ze Zhang. What is that you say. ? It’s a ” wildcard ” doubles team this week in the Shanghai Masters event. . Yikes. I wonder how much extra that cost Michael to organize ? Hopefully a donation to the Roger Federer foundation ? In the old days .. Back in the old days you just did it to help make the event more successful. What an interesting concept. Letting the players help put fans in the seats. Sure why not really give back to your sport. We want to see autograph booths at all events that always have a player or coach or trainer or older player sitting in for photos. Autographs or questions. ? The Bryan’s won’t be around forever. Doubles needs to be promoted. At least the year end finals are played together. Finally.

Lets look at some of the match ups. Roger and Ze Zhang play South African Kevin Anderson and the always witty and popular player Dmitry Tursunov of Russia.

Max the Beast Mirnyi and his partner Horia Tecau just won last weeks tourney in Beijing. Big congrats. Hope to see you in London. ! . It gets them that much closer to London and the 02 arena for the Barclays year end championships. In Shanghai they face the team in the first round of the really talented Treat Huey and Dom Inglot of England.

The end of the year and finals races really make an already exciting sport more electric. So many great doubles teams. The Bryan brothers will finish the year number one again. Big congrats to Bob and Mike ! And congrats to all your families and support staff for the great charity event you guys put on a few weeks ago.
