Day 5 of the championships  |

@tennis_sven

Rain stopped play yesterday and today play was prevented from starting on the outside courts not until around 2 pm! However on center court the Roof was on and play started on time! Therefor I stayed at home at the adidas house and caught up with some administrational work and with one of our advisors from the UK!

As well as watching TV I had a change to also watch online! Yes Wimbledon.com has a great love video channel where Mats Wilander is hosting the show and one of my favorite journalist was on the show the share his expertise with the world! Neil Harman.

Now since I did not get to the site until the doubles match of Kiki went on the way! Christina ended up winning her doubles earlier in the day! There are some great matches all around the grounds and you really get up and close when you have a ground pass for the day!

What you will also witness is the extremely well organized and very efficient ground staff who get the court covered in now time!

There is actually a system to this all and there is a little small display on either side of the stadium court where it can be see by the grounds staff! This system has a number system from 1 through 7 and it has all a purpose for the staff to know to be on stand by cover or uncover even inflate the cover!

1 is stand by 2 is the referee can stop match at discretion 3 is cover the courts Etc and the. 7 courts are ready for play!

See you if you can find the little number next time you are on Wimbledon

Remember my blog about the very impressive stats from IBM well I found the guy who is collecting this data and send it straight to the network! They are located next to the outside courts on a adult baby chair with a lap top infront of them!

The last matches that were going on had to be played almost in the dark and even players refused to continue play and did not get out of their chairs before the match was postponed on the outside courts while In the background the roof was closed and the lights were on!

Tomorrow will be a fresh start and a last day of tennis of the 1st week before the mid Sunday will continue its Wimbledon tradition with no Play until the following Monday!
