Roland Garros Day 4 - Sven's Postcard  |

Next to spending a lot of time on court there is Also plenty of time spend with the managers and the entourage of players!

Family friends and acquaintances that are here year after year! Today I also had a chance to say hello to one of my former players Mary Pierce.

Although I did not have a court time until past midday I had a long adidas meeting at the adidas lounge. We are very fortunate to have this lounge over looking the center court and anybody who is in Paris would love to get a chance to have a coffee over looking center court!

The warmups of today took place on court 12! Court 12 is the court where all of the big player warmup before their matches ! When i was walking in court with Caroline, Roger Federer and Gael Monfils were just finishing their hit! After Caroline I had Sorana warmup with Ana entering the court with their team and after them Serena walked on as we walked off!

Players get 30 minutes to have their warmup! Today was extremely tough to get a court because of the matches that were cancelled yesterday had to be played today! So only 2 courts were available!

Today was also a perfect day for me to have some player meetings to discuss their played matches and programs or assessment of their future plans! It All adds up but it is all very rewarding

Especially when you get to watch a young player like Monica Puig from Puerto Rico having a big win over another young talented player Madison Keys. They finished as last match of the day on court 7 just around 8:30 pm!

Darkness and rain were threatening to postpone the match for another day but Monica held her nerve and fought herself into the 3rd round of the French Open!

Tomorrow we will start our day with an early workout on court with Thiemo de Bakker and followed by more and more tennis and most likely some rain.
