Novak wins Three straight Auzzie slams !!! And A visit to Los Angeles

Melbourne/Santa Monica ….. it’s midnight at the shoot out at the O.K. Corral . Both marksman /athletes/ warriors wearing black. In the old west the bad boy cowboys always wore black. We equate black with serious business. Think Lew Wasserman , Black tower. Black black suits. Serious business.

After two hours and 13 or so minutes we have a match for the ages. Another epic battle between Nole and Andy. Murray took the first set in a tie breaker. Djokovic took the second set in a tiebreaker. Wow. At first Novak earned the name “bounce, bounce, bounce” around our office. But after sitting in the “camp” ok, near the camp. Once the team got him bouncing less. We realized his talent. He is flexible beyond belief. He has tremendous balance. He has a level of intensity and mental toughness rarely seen in any sport. Yes, Dusan Vemic converted me. Dusan allowed me see past the bouncing. … big congrats to team Novak. Idemooooo. Big congrats to team Andy as well. Great efforts dear Braveheart put forward. We love both guys equally!

This has been an awesome Auzzie open. The Federer match in the semis was amazing. The Bryans winning the dubs. Big congrats to Bob and Mike and the whole Bryan team and families. It’s AmazeBalls watching you break these records!

We are in Santa Monica to pay tribute to Dear Gussy Moran . She got her wishes of her remains in the Santa Monica Bay. We aren’t sure how the last ball was hit. But we know she is now in the big grass court in the sky playing with so many old friends. Bill Tilden , Charlie Chaplin, Teddy . Alice Marble, Pauline Betz , Pancho Gonzales , the list just goes on and on. We are compiling a book of people’s memories of Gussy. Did you read the judge story on the site?
