Weather forecast for Melbourne on Friday when we arrive in force…. Ready… Drumroll… 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Yikes. It’s going to be hot few weeks down under. Maybe hottest in awhile. Most of the team of 10sballs.com is packed and ready to go. Me? Not yet. I’m always the last to throw heaps of clothes into a duffel. Nothing ever matches. But oh well…
We are sorry RAFA isn’t healed enough to play. Maybe his knee is worse than imagined ? Maybe it really is his knee and not other grumblings … Either way we will miss you RAFA. (Deb especially)
Roger Federer is still a few thousand points away from Novak Djokovic. (numero uno) The only good news for RF is he was almost invisible during the last month.( practicing and relaxing with Mirka and the girls.)
While Novak has crisscrossed the globe in private jets…. has been everywhere. He was in London. Neckers island our “GPS ” blew up following him…. He received awards and made appearances for charity events.
Now Mr. Andy Murray, he just went to Florida and trained like everyday all day. He didn’t fly back and forth over ponds and oceans. He stayed focused on being number one…
I guess that covers the top four guys. As we embark on a New Year everyone here at our eclectic tennis news site wants to wish everyone best wishes for 2013 !!! Get well soon to Gussy Moran, Jackie and best wishes to all of our tennis friends

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
