PowerAngle LLC, the only manufacturer of patented, diagonally-strung tennis rackets, announced a partnership with the Safe Passage Tennis Program in Southern California.

Formerly known as the Arthur Ashe Safe Passage Foundation Tennis Program, the Safe Passage Tennis Program retains the mission set forth by its founder, Arthur Ashe, who was determined to break the stereotypes of tennis by introducing the sport to all people, regardless of socioeconomic background, color or creed. Safe Passage was created to address this need and has provided inner-city children in Southern California and beyond with the direction and motivation needed to succeed on the court, in school and in life.

Today, the Safe Passage Tennis Program has 70 students participating in the year-round program based at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, and many alumni have graduated from the youth program to collegiate tennis. Tony Brock is the program’s director, and he and his developmental coaches, Jovanna Sangria and Salvador Romero, successfully use tennis instruction as a vehicle for building self-esteem and character.

PowerAngle promotes the program designed to create a Safe Passage for youth making the journey into productive adulthood. PowerAngle Diagonally-Strung Tennis Rackets are the healthiest for a player’s arm, as PowerAngle’s equal-length diagonal strings reduce vibration by 40% compared to conventionally-strung rackets, which have unequal-length horizontal and vertical strings.

Diagonal stringing also grips a tennis ball better – resulting in the ball staying on the strings longer – producing controlled power with added spin. PowerAngle Rackets are legal for tournament play.

Information about PowerAngle Diagonally-Strung Tennis Rackets is available at www.PowerAngle.net.
