Novak Djokovic has 12920.

Roger Federer has 10265.

Andy Murray has 8000.

Rafael Nadal has 6795.

Ferrer 6505,Berdych 4680,Del po 4480,Jo-willi 3490,Janko 2990,and ATP alternate Richard Gasquet that just hung out in London with his posse.

What my real point about the points. ? I miss ” Bonus Points ” ! I really miss “Double Bonus Points ” ….

What are bonus points. ? They allowed mobility. Upward mobility. What an interesting concept. Its so long ago even Geezer cant even remember the system … Vito please tell us ? It went something like …If you beat a player higher ranked you got extra points. If you beat a seeded player in a Slam you got double points. Your prize money didn’t change round by round. Which would have been nice…. Still would … But at least your ranking could move.

Tennis players are the most amazing athletes on earth. To top it off they are road warriors. Playing thru jet lag is a weekly occurrence. Playing indoors / out. Surface changes. Carpets. Hard courts. Different hard courts …. Clay courts. Different clay courts. Grass courts. No two play alike. Ball changes. Oh my gosh. Beyond your wildest dreams how many adjustments players must make. On the court. Off the court. Bottom line. More money needs to be adjusted to the earlier rounds. The money is way too top heavy.
