Greetings everyone!
Its great to be back blogging from California. I arrived here Thursday night at around 10:30 pm and didn’t get to my hotel till 12:30. I decided to get in the wrong hotel shuttle service so I ended up taking a 30-minute ride instead of a 10-minute one. I got here pretty early, especially since I was seeded and didn’t play till Monday. California always seems to have faster courts though, so it was smart to get here and get used to them.  Anyways, after a good three days of practice with my roommate Catherine Harrison, I started the tournament with some solid wins. I am in the round of 16 for doubles and round of 32 for singles.
Other then the tennis, there really isn’t a lot that has been going on. Since Catherine and I are under 18 we are not allowed to rent a car. This means we have to take sketchy cabs to the site and back every day because we aren’t at the tournament hotel. Thankfully, we have a Denny’s and Chipotle walking distance from the hotel. We have pretty much been doing the same thing every night, which is picking our food up and bringing it back to watch the 2012 Olympics!! J  Right now we are watching May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings take on China in beach volleyball.
For some reason I am already very tired so I am going to hit the sheets. For those of you who have read my previous blogs you will know I’m a little bit more exciting then this so tomorrow I promise to not bore you.
Thanks guys!
