Roland Garros has released a comprehensive report that chronicles the 2012 tournament through numbers. Here are some of the highlights:

* French TV averaged 1.53 million viewers per day, on an increase of 3 % over 2011

* The tournament served 1.5 million tons of pasta

* The event created 2 tons of pink clay for Women’s Day at Roland-Garros .

* The average amount spent by spectators on food within Roland Garros stadium was 10 Euros

* Channel ITV4, a new French Open broadcaster in the United Kingdom, boasted record market share twice in its first year covering the tournament: on Monday, June

4th (the best Monday in the history of the channel) and Wednesday, June 6th (the best Wednesday in the history of the channel).

* 7 kilometers of adhesive bandage was used during the tournament by physiotherapists who treated the players. The tournament employed 33 physiotherapists

* Some 30 liters of ointment and massage oil used during the tournament by the physiotherapists for the treatment of all the men and women players.

* Official stringer Babolat used 44 kilometers of string

* There were 722 main press room and one on one interviews held during the tournament

* Food provider Sodexo served an average of 10,000 meals daily to tournament organization (personnel, officials, media and players).

* The tournament issued 19, 733 accreditations. Among them, 433 were for players in the main draws as well as the legends; 362 for coaches; 353 for players’ families; 152 for qualifiers and 142 for all junior players.

* 58, 112 spectators visited the RG Lab, the entertainment area installed under the National Training Center

* Some 26,649 tickets were exchanged through the official ticketing exchange website Viagogo, an increase of 29 %.

* 78,000 tickets were sold in the context of public relations offers, including 38,000 box seats

* 60,000 balls were used.

* The official web site, rolandgarros.com, had over 14 million unique visitors a 25% increase over 2011.
