One of the UNICEF Open's unseeded players will most likely have more eyes on her than anyone else in the field, with Kim Clijsters returning to the WTA this week. Clijsters has not played since March because of a right hip injury, but is looking to get some grass court preparation in for one more run at Wimbledon, as she has indicated that she will retire after the US Open.

In extremely blustery conditions at The Queen’s Club on Saturday, sixth seed Marin Cilic reached the final of the AEGON Championships with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory over 2010 winner Sam Querrey. The Croatian saved 10 of the 13 break points he faced and won 70 per cent of points behind his first serve to claim victory in just under two hours.

Mirnyi and Nestor won 78 per cent of their service points and capitalised on both of their break point opportunities to claim victory in 59 minutes.
Former player, tournament director, promoter and commentator Barry MacKay has passed away in San Francisco aged 76. Nicknamed ‘The Bear’ for his stature and ebullient personality, MacKay was one of the friendliest and most-liked members of the tennis family.
