We are in full force @ the 2012 Sony Ericsson open. It’s just an amazing event. Miami is a special city. It’s one of our favorite places. Day and night… Not tennis @ night miami night life… We missed the ride in Ron’s 737 but we are here. I’m still chuckling over Novak saying even he thought he bounced too much. His 60 minutes interview on CBS last Sunday was great. 60 minutes has always been a friend to tennis. 10sballs.com still has some of our favorites in the tourney. The level of play and match ups made for a fantastic tourney from day one. And we are just past the halfway mark.
Sorry for Roger and the traveling Federer road show. It’s as if the Madison Square Garden match re-lit Andy’s fire. Or maybe Andy played with a heart for his buddy Meyerson. Mr. Miami. Andy once sent Ken to Australia…. Hoping the Aussie attitude would rub off…. Mellowing out? R.I.P.
Some results from today’s play:
Novak bounced out Richard Gasquet 7-5,6-3
Mardy Fish beat Nic Almagro 6-3,6-7,6-3
Tipsarevic beat Dimitrov 7-6,6-2
Andy Murray beat Giles Simon 6-3,6-4
Rafael Nadal bull dozed Nishikori with a pair of fours.
Tsonga tstomps Mayer 6-3,6-2
Juan Monaco takes down Roddick 7-5, 6- zip. A bagel. Wow. No fish / Roddick quarters.
More later. Dinner break. Then Wozzy and Serena.
