Canada booked their place in men’s World Group 2 and Chile secured their spot in the women’s World Group for the BNP Paribas World Team Cup in Seoul, Korea after both teams progressed from last week’s Americas qualification event in Mexico City.
Qualifying events for August’s World Junior Tennis Finals in Prostejov, Czech Republic and September’s Junior Davis Cup and Junior Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Finals in Barcelona, Spain are being held on all continents in the first half of the year.
The blockbuster Davis Cup by BNP Paribas quarterfinal between France and USA will be staged in the idyllic setting of the Monte Carlo Country Club, Roquebrune- Cap-Martin, France on 6-8 April. It’s the first time that France have played a Davis Cup tie at the venue, which will also host the Masters-1000 event a fortnight later.
