10sballs.com wants to go on record. Ready …we are about to see our third anniversary. Our site loves, adores, and respects Roger….. Only second to his own site. We were among his first followers on Facebook. We remember when he hit 100 thousand followers. It’s now at nine million. We support his foundation. Everyone should! We said one tiny thing about: Roger and the ATP /CEO candidates….. Man did we hear from our readers for it…. Well just a little… We said “Roger isn’t always right.” It’s true. Who is always right?
The ATP/CEO job has yet to be appointed. But Richard Krajicek was in an uphill battle without the support of Rafa and Roger. (He had NADAL’S support). Richard was and is the best man for the job. The game could have used someone with Richard’s ability to make well thought out intelligent decisions instead of all the trickery and tomfoolery that has and does exist. Richard Krajicek removed his name from the list of candidates. Now they will probably fill it with two men?
Something happens to ex-players when they get on their first board or first business suit when they’ve hung up the warm-up suit. What you say. You rarely see a professional player in a warm up suit anymore. (Davis cup)
Why? Some dumb ATP rule… They’d rather have players (world class athletes) be cold or suffer injuries but stay within a dress code. We could talk about patches. 10sballs.com has the regulation patches on many top players! Who can read their sleeves? Our game is stunted by so many existing rules that can’t allow for growth in our sport. (The patch sizes are dumb) Too small!
It was reported that Justin was said to have questioned Krajiceks business skills? Yikes that’s a shame…. Any board members of the ATP that didn’t support Krajicek had ulterior motives…. Richard’s smarts and skills threatened them in some fashion. Roger was mis-informed. To the other guys. All I can do is say. What a shame.
We love the sport. We have been on the inside for almost fifty years. We have seen more talent in Roger Federer than any individual. EVER….. Do you think under that Nike shirt there is super hero? No just a guy that was gifted, worked hard and loves the sport. He cries because he loves the sport. All the Davis cup guys cried – the winners and the losers. Roger cries when he wins. He cries when he loses but into towels or pillows. We are lucky to see the ATP players talent pool. It’s the most amazing time in the history of tennis. Watch the Tennis Channel. They are showing great matches. Great stuff and the Aussie Open is in less than a month.
