Roger isn’t always right. What? That’s right. Roger Federer isn’t always right! Rog wasn’t in favor of hawk eye. In fact he was very vocal in multiple languages of how unhappy he was. So Roger was wrong. The hawk eye instant replay system launched tennis into this century… ( I think it’s also help increase ticket prices.)
Roger has voiced concern over Richard Krajicek being the ATP/CEO. What a shame. What a pity. His people must be misguiding him. He is off on this choice or position. What a loss for the ATP. No one would have been better. No one brings the intelligence… the insight, vision, knowledge of the sport as well as being a Wimbledon Winner and a successful tournament director and business man. We forgive Rog based on his being insulated and being misdirected. Mis informed. Oh well. Richard would have brought his passion, his understanding his problem solving ability. What does the ATP want another hanger wearing a suit. (sorry af) Or another Mark Smiles Who handshakes and offers up Harleys to win popularity contests.
Richard Krajicek is (was ?) the best candidate ever to want to take the helm. He would have known what to do at the US Open with the stadium court pealing…. remember Andy Roddick match. That court could have been used for the rest of the event for wheelchair tennis. How nice it would have been to showcase the athletes. As well as the famous Esther Vergeer.
He would have used the court for players to meet with fans. Make up for Arthur Ashe day rainout. With free giveaway thingies. Richard is a promoter. A negotiator. A statesman. A man who is in touch. He is aware and present. He works hard and thinks like a peacemaker, ambassador of goodwill…. He wants to always maximize and capitalize on all opportunities.
We are trying to forgive you Rog. But to Rafa we say. Bravo. Rafael Nadal. You get it. And you speak your mind. Bravo Rafa. Vito and I are proud of you. And we all send big congrats to the brilliance of your Davis cup win. Rafa when you won it was a fantastic effort. Then you shook and hugged your opponent. Then your bench. Then their whole bench. Man you are one heck of a sportsman. Enjoy the victory it was epic. You. Your team. The arena. It was chilly but it was electric. And everyone was crying. The winners. The losers. The spectators. So dear Roger they all cry. Why. Same as all great champions. Because it means so much to them. Winning a tourney is the culmination of years of work and dedication and sacrifice. It’s ok to cry. In this case it’s KRAJICEK. Pronounced “CRY check” … sorry “LF”. I had to write this….
