10sballs.com has a QR Code! Have you been seeing QR codes everywhere..? We were! This is our second design and a third edition is on it’s way. We love the concept. If you use a smart phone you have a “scanner”… you run your phone (red laser) over the CODE and” wallah” you are directly on the 10sballs.com website. How cool is that? I’ve seen them on the sides of buses, on napkins in California pizza kitchen on most envelopes in lots of print ads.
I was totally loving taking an iPhone and scanning the QR from an iPad. Yes I’m into gadgets….. Always have been… Big Boss and Geezer is the biggest gadget person…. Try it….
It’s been a great day. Woke up to see the finals from the Basel Swiss Indoors. Roger played great and beat the adorable Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-1,6-3. The match lasted an hour and fifteen minutes. So with the warm up the fans saw the greatest ever for an hour and a half.
Rogi got a little teary during the awards. Note he NEVER cries when he loses… Only when he wins… Each and every match and title mean so much to him. He cherishes our sport. He graces our courts. We are lucky. The closing ceremonies were great. Each ball kid was presented a medal around their necks. Each one of the mighty Feds kids looked so proud. the twenty odd kids that got their medals from Kei looked pleased but not like the ball kids on Rogers side of the court. They were beaming. Maybe there are some future champions there. A Federer is once in a millennium… It would be nice if they were Stan’s (Wawarinka ) or Yves (Allegro) Marc (Rossets) or little Martinas as in Hingis….
Our picks for the men’s dubs went out to Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic 6-4,7-5.congrats to a great team. 10sballs.com and Max Mirnyi are close like peanut butter and jelly. The Beautiful Belarussian family are the strong ones. They are the peanut butter. Max and Daniel Nestor (Canada) are on the ATP tour like 70 years combined … Yes, I made up that number but Geezer says I’m close….. both guys gave blood sweat and tears for their countries. Both always supported Davis cup. Max had that especially hard duty. Half of a two man team for awhile. So it was three out of five sets on Fridays singles on Saturday doubles and again on Sunday. For years …..
Both guys also played great singles. I’ll write more later when I can actually look stuff up instead of make it up. Or talk to Greg Sharko at the ATP to get the needed info.
I saved the best for last. Donald Young Jr. From Atlanta Georgia by way of Chicago played thru the Qualies in Paris. Yes! DY is in the main draw of the BNP Paribas Masters. His first round will be against Juan Monaco.
P.S. Hi Lindt people. Thanks again for another great tourney and please send more of those yummy chocolate balls.
