NYC a work in progress.... |
NYC. A work in progress…. Funny I’ve heard that all my life…(NYC will be nice when its finished ….) But that’s the feeling for Monday. That Monday is going to be a clean up day. That Monday is going to be a day to get things rolling again. Trains. Buses. Subways…Planes ?
I still say it’s going to be tough getting to the tennis center. The people who drive the players to and from the event need to be able to get there themselves? The ticket holders come from Westchester county and CT. And they have flooding and trees down?
All we can say is Irene was a headache. “A party pooper.” The storm going towards Massachusetts. And Rhode Island. Weird how it missed the usual southern states …still don’t know how Mark Knowles and family faired in the Bahamas. …

Here we are in Chicago. What a great event. We've been to the WILSON factory daily. Love to see some of the great old frames we played with.
This was a tennis tournament.... Like no other. This was a U.S. Open like no other.. Let's start with new logo. It's click art like ours? But we aren't the USTA.
The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
What a start. First match in the new stadium and bye bye ladies number one seed and WTA World Number One. Simona Halep. Losing to Estonian Kaia Kanepi.
Wow. Where do we start. Forward. Backward. Sideways. I sound like a tennis player doing on court drills.
