Davis Cup Results Are In...

Teammates toss David Ferrer from Spain into the air after he won against Mardy Fish from United States during the 2011 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Quarterfinal between the United States and Spain at the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in Austin, Texas, USA, 10 July 2011. Davis Cup results are in. Unites States of America lost to Spain in Austin, Texas. Be careful what you wish for… Andy Roddick wanted to be a hometown hero… Oops… Some Spaniards screwed that up… What? They did it without Rafa? The U.S. lost to España minus Rafael Nadal. Yikes…

The positive note. The Bryan Brothers were super. Not the same. But awesome still the same. They don’t seem to be on same wave length. Close but not like BEFORE. Rumor has it Bob is now an Iphone user. Mikes a Blackberry guy…

Caught a few misc sites. A ballboy at the net with the BNP Paribas logo of stars cut into his haircut. Very cute. Saw. The beautiful “Diva Faye” in the stands. You know Kristina was saying what’s with this crowd noise @ tennis?

Other Davis Cup results. France won (beat Germany)  so they play Spain in the semis. Serbia will host Argentina. (Serbia beat Sweden )

Most people are unaware how huge Davis Cup is. 130 countries on all continents. Thank you BNP Paribas.

Today Mardy came on court nervous. David came on court in warrior mode. Big congrats. David. Marcel and Feliciano and Ferdando. Great job coach Costa and coach Courier. You looked nice in the suit. Work on your. Silk tie knots…. And it was a good effort making Mardy laugh at change overs to try and relax him…

A few  quick updates on Davis Cup winners this week. Serbia over Sweden 4-1,Argentina overt Kazakhstan 5-0, Spain over USA 3-1, France over Germany 4-1, Canada over Ecuador 3-2, Brazil over Uruguay 5-0, Australia over China 3-2, Japan over Uzbekistan 4-1, New Zealand over Philippines 5-0, Italy over Slovenia 5-0, South Africa over the Netherlands 3-1, Switzerland over Portugal 5-0.

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
