Happy July 4th! Wimbledon is over… Geezer was telling me of most years past when Wimby had a semis or finals on July 4th. The Americans around the grounds celebrated in their hearts. Anyone with a connection to the NBC was in their VIP hospitality tent munching down on hot dogs flown in from America and lots of red white and blue.
Roger is the best. He just is. He may not be the other Roger but this Roger is still amazing to watch. Roger is the best. He really is. It’s funny there’s a tennis underground within the tennis world. We don’t have secret handshakes. But we all know the same thing. Win or lose. Roger is the best.
“Ole pro” says never miss a chance to see him hit a ball.
Ending with the syndicated news flash that it looks like ESPN outbid NBC. If Dick Ebersol was still with NBC would that have happened? What happened to the Tennis Channel, home of the Slams …

Here we are in Chicago. What a great event. We've been to the WILSON factory daily. Love to see some of the great old frames we played with.
This was a tennis tournament.... Like no other. This was a U.S. Open like no other.. Let's start with new logo. It's click art like ours? But we aren't the USTA.
The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
What a start. First match in the new stadium and bye bye ladies number one seed and WTA World Number One. Simona Halep. Losing to Estonian Kaia Kanepi.
Wow. Where do we start. Forward. Backward. Sideways. I sound like a tennis player doing on court drills.
