As each day draws closer I get more and more excited. The All England Club. Southfields Station… the walk down the hill. The “Dutchee” stand….. The RAIN….? I no longer check the odds on anything tennis since being in the industry forbids me from betting…. I do wonder what odds the bookies have for odds of rain thru the fortnight. Yes. You can take or make that bet. Geezer won on that one year. Big Boss once picked the men’s winner one year when the draw was made….. We all routinely placed bets… We had no inside info. No thrown matches. Just stuff like Chris Evert was playing Martina Navatilova in finals. Big Boss always says, “Get a hunch, Bet a bunch.”
10sballs.com believes there should be gambling in tennis. Back in the day there was a place on the grounds of Wimbledon to place bets. The Australian open still had on site gambling thru 1996.
I have to wonder how big the Men’s French Open final with TV audience if we all could have made wagers … what do you think?

Here we are in Chicago. What a great event. We've been to the WILSON factory daily. Love to see some of the great old frames we played with.
This was a tennis tournament.... Like no other. This was a U.S. Open like no other.. Let's start with new logo. It's click art like ours? But we aren't the USTA.
The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
What a start. First match in the new stadium and bye bye ladies number one seed and WTA World Number One. Simona Halep. Losing to Estonian Kaia Kanepi.
Wow. Where do we start. Forward. Backward. Sideways. I sound like a tennis player doing on court drills.
