Somdev Devvarman Crashes Out of Nottingham

The French is into its second week, but many tennis players are already on the grass. The men have four challengers this week: Nottingham, Furth, Rijeka, and last but not least Prostejov. Each of the four have tough cut offs. Last direct entry into Nottingham was Carsten ball at 186. Prostejov sergi Bubka was last direct accepted at 229. In Firth it was Burquier at 228. And now I’m lost, but I think “Attila” at 230 was the last somewhere … That pint I drank caught up with me. The fish and chips were super too. I love Pub food!

I’m waiting for Wimby and a “dutchee.” What’s a dutchee? It starts with a baguette. And inside is a fried sausage. They are so good …my mouth is watering ….they only have one stand at Wimbledon. Its by gate 5. You’ll see the “q”. ….(Queue is a line).

Peter Luczak of Australia won his first round in Furth. Bernie Tomic of Oz won his first round in Nottingham against a fellow Auzzie Carsten Ball.

Somden Devvarman is second seed and he is due to play my least favorite Auzzie Matosevic. Talented guy …but such a butt head. Closest player to Nastase in personality. Not a nice competitor though, as he shows the opponent zero respect. Good luck “Sommie”! Yikes. Alert. And update. Matosevic won 6-2 in the third.

At Roland Garros today the team of Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor beat Tecau/Lindsedt.

Re : Koellerer and his life ban … Never heard of him …

I’m waiting to post this. Why? The doubles with the Bryan brothers and Bopanna and A-U-H Qureshi match its a set all and tied at 5-5 in the third. Its been postponed …stay tuned.
