It’s heating up. Mid-nineties and not much shade. Kim Clijsters had to retire leading a set to Bartoli., she was having some shoulder problems…

Roger Federer was on and done and won in less than an hour against Chela.
Big boss is melting in this desert heat. We are cooling down with an ice tea and sitting next to us is Pau Gasol of the Los Angeles Lakers. He is cooling down with an ice cream cone. I bet he is glad basketball is played indoors…. His buddy Rafael Nadal just came off the practice court and is now sitting with the Spanish quarter.. The table is growing…. They are adding chairs.. From four to eight in a blink..Table is filling up. Two HUGE superstars… just visiting and chatting. It’s really low key and nice….
Ok. Back to tennis. Great lineup here all day and night. Caroline Wozniaki is still on court. Djokovic hammered Gulbis 6-0,6-1…. bounce, bounce, bounce….
Tonight is Andy Roddick against BIG John Isner. Followed by the ladies championship of Russia. Miss Sharapova against Dinara Safina….

UPDATE: Ryan Harrison just won the first set, Sharar Peer won a long match against Schiavone.Her coach Craig Kardon is going to be celebrating tonite. Andy Roddick just cruised past the Spanish armada and gave Pau a handshake and a hello

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
