Yesterday afternoon a lot of flights were diverted to Ontario, CA Airport because it was too bumpy to land in Palm Springs. The Bryan bros were amongst a group of players that got on a bus to arrive to the venue…

Big congrats to Sorana Cristea she won her second round of qualies… Main draw now!! Also, if you haven’t watched her you should. She is a real beauty with a game to match. Good work Floris!! If Sorana wins her first match she is due to play Kim Clijsters in the second round.
Spent some time visiting with Allen Fox and his dear beautiful wife Nancy… They shared that last night Allen received the southern California tennis association Lifetime achievement award. Big congrats go to the Fox!! More tomorrow about Allen’s latest book….
During lunch we saw Novak Djokovic. (Also known around the site as bounce, bounce, bounce….) he had his knee wrapped with ice. And even tough he is wearing Sergio Tacchini clothing, he was wearing his Adidas tennis shoes ….
As the staff of 10sballs.com was winding down the 12th hour on the site we saw our favorite Belgian tennis player. Xavier Malisse. Watched some of his practice. He was sure hitting the forehand like a rocket and the backhand is truly a beautiful stroke. …

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
