Xavier the MATADOR? We hope. I can see it. I can see Xavier Malisse the artist with his magic wand. Using his skills to play with the bull. We are discussing an upcoming Davis Cup match between Spain and Belgium. He is one of the truest, most loyal friends…. If X is your friend. He is your friend. It’s that simple. You never hear from him. But you know that’s him. Wherever in the world he is. He is. He is present. He might miss a few loved ones here and there. But he lives in the here and now. It’s a wonderful place to be. It means he is able to free his mind to enjoy life. Enjoy the ride. Enjoy the company he is keeping enjoy producing his beautiful stroke making, his angles … Xav has a reach of a guy twice his size. He has been working with coach Maxime Braeckman. … Hi max.

X turned pro in 1998. That year he fought thru qualifying to play in his first ATP event in Philadelphia and lost to Pete Sampras 7-5 in the third.
