What a match. What match? My match. It was great. Short but sweet. But my day got better. 10sballs.com offices were visited by old tennis friend Louise Pleming and the always charming and adorable Sally Peers. Two of Aussie chicks favorite Aussie chicks as well… Louise coaches for Australian institute of sport. Also known as AIS. Our old buddy Brent Larkhamis there too .. He gave the big boss a jumper (Jacket) just like Louise was wearing. Thanks Brent. (Capt .Cavie)
Sally Peers. Just twenty years old, hails from Melbourne. In 2010 she won Ipswitch, and she had a career high ranking of 153 . At the 2010 US open she battled her way thru three tough rounds of qualifying also known as qualies to then trounce Alexsandra Wozniak.(54 in WTA rankings at the time) 6-0,6-1.She lost in the second round to her childhood hero Kim Clijsters. I saved the icing on the cake. Here’s the best part. Sally made history at the US open. Sally’s mother Elizabeth Little had also played in the US open. That makes them the only mother and daughter to both compete there … Wow….
Ok one more surprise. 10sballs.com has had this idea for a long, long time. “shoe checks ” or ” foot checks “. Most tennis players’ feet suffer. Look out Indian Wells and Miami. … Our cameras will hunt you down. Flip flops and all… With our flips.
So along came Sally… Yep. We have our first foot shot. It’s funny. Its because I looked down at her “kicks ” (NIKE) and said. ” wow those are really cute, are they comfortable too? ” Sally said they were great. So with some technical assistance from Adam you’ll see Sally’s cute little foot… (not what we expected… ) must be a great shoe ….
