Just got an email from Sven Groeneveld. He has been appointed one of the wheelchair ambassadors! Wow! 10sballs.com couldn’t be prouder of our dear friend. This week the NEC masters are being played in Amsterdam …hopefully we will all be celebrating with Esther. If she makes the finals she would have won 400 matches in a row….. Lots of great wishes to all the competitors but especially to ESTHER!!

We love you Andy Roddick. But someday you might be a tourney director and understand why they (ATP/ BARCLAYS ) would like the players in London to get the buzz going….

TENNIS channel… Oh my gosh. Showing great stuff. Really great. The best of fives are beyond awesome. And the interviews with Vince Van Patten are great (wish he dressed like George Clooney…he’s that handsome), but no he wears his grubby beach tennis game clothes to the Hamptons and everywhere else… Come on Vince how can you be that grungy looking? Dress like the gorgeous movie star you are. You should play Dino in the movie….Nels help your bro!

Back to tennis channel. The Jon Lovitz shows are great. I’m really enjoying the channel whether it’s a tourney week or not. Caught a great travel show with old amigo Guillermo Vilas.

We want our sport to have all the great aspects of it emphasized in these tough times. Ready…hitting a tennis ball is a great stress buster (it beats kicking a wall); it’s great for socializing; it’s great for networking….It’s easy to travel and take your racket…and no big deal being a Sherpa carrying a set of dumb golf clubs. I’ve spent a lifetime traveling the world with my tennis racket. It’s a magic wand. The people I’ve met. The places I’ve gone. Tennis has some great history (being made daily). But it also has a great future…
